If you are looking for something to do over the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of July and are hoping to find an event everyone in your family will enjoy, then why not come and visit the Elvaston Steam Rally.
The rally is being held from 9am - 5pm each day at Elvaston Castle Country Park, which is situated between Derby and Nottingham. There is plenty planned for the weekend as the event has been going for the past 31 years there.
When you arrive you can marvel at the display of steam engines, with a selection on show that also includes tractors, classic cars and motorcycles, vintage caravans, miniature steam engines and fair organs. There is also working demonstrations, craft display and market stalls, plus a children’s entertainer in the form of Jolly Jingles to keep the little ones amused during the event.
You needn’t worry about accommodation either. There is a campsite area for caravans and tents which can be pre-booked before the 19th of June. Or you can just turn up and pay when you arrive (subject to available space). If you require caravan rental then you can book one to be delivered directly to the event and set up ready for when you arrive.
