Caravanning is the future

The caravan service company, the Caravan Club has announced that its bookings for the summer of 2010 are already looking incredibly positive. The club has over one million members and offers them with a selection of caravan parks and sites throughout the UK.

As caravanning is the largest percentage sector and now accounts for 19 percent of all paid-for holidays, the future certainly looks bright.

The director of Marketing for the Caravan Club, Nick Lomas backs up this view:

“Caravan holidays deliver tremendous economic value, not just for the holidaymaker but for the rural economy also. Touring is an exceptionally affordable way for a family to take a break. Should the plan for the UK to switch to Daylight Saving Time come to fruition, it will mean even longer and lighter evenings for people to get out and enjoy their leisure hours.”

With this form of transport and accommodation there is no need to worry about rail strikes or volcanic ash affecting air travel. Those who book caravan or motorhome rental services can go off to their favourite UK destinations and have a relaxing holiday and a great time.

So, if you want to know what all the fuss is about, and why caravan / motorhome bookings are at record levels, you should certainly consider caravan hire for your next holiday.
