Come and see the Blackpool Illuminations

You can tell that autumn has well and truly arrived when the Blackpool Illuminations are switched on in September, this year by singer Robbie Williams. This famous attraction, which has won many awards for excellence, brings in more than three million visitors every year.

The Blackpool Illuminations will be shining now until the 7th of November so you still have plenty of time to plan a trip to this renowned seaside resort.

It is free to see the lights and the way you see them is very flexible; by bike, car or if you decide to walk along the six mile stretch, this is certainly the high point of any autumn holiday in Blackpool.

The Blackpool Illuminations have been going since 1879 and staging the attraction now costs £2.4 million and the dazzling display runs from Starr Gate all the way to Bispham.

As well as the lights there is so much more to see and do in Blackpool to keep a family or couple amused for the duration of their holiday.

One of the most cost-effective and exciting ways to visit Blackpool is through motorhome hire. There are many campsites located in and around the resort that will give you the chance to see the sights and offer a great place to stay.
