Taking place on the Henham Park Estate in Beccles, Suffolk between Thursday the 15th and Sunday the 18th of July, the festival promises to bring together an exciting mix of art, with all manner of theatre, film, literature, comedy, dance, cabaret and poetry planned across the four days.

It may not be just about the music but that doesn’t mean that there is isn’t a great line up for lovers of all kinds of music. The rally is being held from 9am - 5pm each day at Elvaston Castle Country Park, which is situated between Derby and Nottingham. There is plenty planned for the weekend as the event has been going for the past 31 years there.

When you arrive you can marvel at the display of steam engines, with a selection on show that also includes tractors, classic cars and motorcycles, vintage caravans, miniature steam engines and fair organs. There is also working demonstrations, craft display and market stalls, plus a children’s entertainer in the form of Jolly Jingles to keep the little ones amused during the event.

A show for classic caravan and motor enthusiasts

If you are really into your vintage cars and caravans, then you don’t really want to miss the Classic Cars and Caravans Show which is being held this coming weekend. The event is due to take place at Vantage Caravans, Tattershall in Lincolnshire on Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th of May and promises to have many top models on display.

The show blends an interesting mix of classic motor cars with caravans and boasts a number of Carlight Caravans chosen from each decade, dating back to the 1930s to the present day. There will also be classic cars displayed alongside these caravans, and from the same era. The offering includes a Jensen 541 from the 1950s and a Bentley Turbo from the 1980s.

The organiser of the event, Robert Hodgson, said: “The vogue for vintage caravans looks set to grow, with increasing numbers of people returning to caravanning as a flexible holiday pastime.”

There is bound to be something for everyone at the event. If you like to check out vintage caravans then they don’t get more prestigious than the Carlight Light Four model, first manufactured in 1935.
