The Christmas Markets in Manchester

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

If you have even been to Manchester city centre from mi-November onwards you will surely know all about the Christmas Markets. Here, you can enjoy the warmth of drinking mulled wine while tucking into the hog roast sandwich.

While it may still be too early for the Manchester World, European and German Markets to have set up their stalls around Brazennose Street, Albert Square, St Ann’s Square and Exchange Street, it is worth bearing in mind that they all open on the 18th of November.

As well as the food and drink on sale to keep you warm during the colder winter months there is also the Manchester Christmas Arts & Crafts Market to wander round where you may be able to spot excellent Christmas gift ideas, saving you the hassle of having to go abroad to find exquisite items such as these.

And with the Christmas Markets staying open until the 21st or 22nd of December you have plenty of time to plan your holiday to this great city in the North West of England.

In fact, why not make a weekend or week of it and if you can’t afford to stay in a plush city centre hotel, you should consider motorhome hire. There are many top campsites in the area so you could stay in luxury accommodation with all the mod cons you’d expect, especially during the winter. With motorhomes you can have it all.
