Music concerts at Westonbirt

You may not have expected some of the biggest names in music to be performing at a concert in the grounds of The National Arboretum, but that is exactly what is happening this summer.

The place that is home to the world’s most spectacular tree collections is to host three nights of music across the weekend of the 16th to 18th of July. If you have nothing planned for this coming weekend then tickets are still available for all nights apart from JLS on Friday, which is already sold out.

Status Quo are booked for the Saturday, supported by special guest The Crave and James Morrison will be performing on the Sunday along with Charlotte O’Connor.

To celebrate the fact that JLS, Status Quo and James Morrison will be playing at the event, a special ‘Live Music’ totem pole sculpted from wood has been commissioned and you can now find it on display at the Downs.

Simon Hough, The Arboretum’s Events Manager, said:

“We’re all really excited about these big names from the world of rock and pop coming to our little piece of the Cotswolds and we wanted to celebrate their arrival in a suitably grand and fun way.”

Westonbirt is located in a beautiful area of Gloucestershire close to Tetbury and within easy access of the A433 Bath-Tetbury Road.

If you can’t make these concerts but would still like to see the tree collection, then you may be interested in the Festival of the Tree which is being held from the 23rd to the 30th of August. Caravan hire is an exciting way to travel to Westonbirt and you can even arrange for these vehicles to be delivered directly to a nearby camping site.
