You cannot beat outdoor theatre at this time of year to provide great entertainment in the grounds of a country manor. And the most well-known of Jane Austin’s novels is being played out at two excellent venues selected by the National Trust towards the end of July.
Pride and Prejudice open air theatre
Belton House, Lincolnshire
On Saturday the 24th of July between 7pm and 10pm you can enjoy the production while relaxing with a picnic on a beautiful English lawn in Lincolnshire. The play is situated on the East Lawn, so be sure to bring a seat and torch with you.
Wallington, Northumberland
This event takes place on Sunday the 25th of July between 7.30pm and 10pm. Again, you can enjoy this classic love story in a picturesque setting. This particular production is taking place in Wallington Courtyard. Don’t forget your picnic, plus blankets or chairs to experience the theatre in comfort.
Book in advance
It is always best to book your tickets in advance when going to an open air theatre. Then you can relax knowing it is all sorted and you won’t have to pay on the day. These days out really are good fun for all the family.
