This August it is the 33rd year of the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. Held between Thursday 11 and Sunday 14 August, this annual event is the largest hot air balloon gathering in Europe and a huge UK outdoor fiesta.
Established back in 1979, this free admission event has now become one of Bristol’s biggest attractions with people coming from all over the world to see the show. In fact, around 500,000 visitors are expected across the four days and the big draw is always the air displays of the hot air balloons.
